Dr. Jelson grew up in Southern California. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree followed by a General Practice Residency through UCLA providing dental care to medically compromised patients in various hospitals including Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He then continued on to obtain his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics at Loma Linda University. Dr. Jelson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by less than 35% of the profession, and one that recognizes the doctor’s pursuit of continued clinical excellence and proficiency.
Dr. Jelson is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Jelson enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and outdoor activities. He enjoys competing in triathlons and has completed multiple Ironman distance triathlons. Dr. Jelson is also passionate about being active in the community. He enjoys volunteering and recently helped coached local high school students in running their first LA Marathon.
